The campaign “Ek Ghanta Khel Ke Maidan Mein” was conducted on 29th August
As part of the celebrations, three outdoor and four indoor events were organized, namely:
Outdoor Events: Volleyball, Basketball and Kho-Kho.
Indoor Events: Table Tennis, Shuttle Badminton, Carrom and Chess.
Students participated enthusiastically in the competitions and demonstrated sporting spirit, teamwork and healthy competitive behaviour. The teaching and non-teaching staff also extended their cooperation in organizing and conducting the events. The campaign “Ek Ghanta Khel Ke Maidan Mein” was conducted on 29th August, 2026, from 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM at the College Ground. Students and staff actively participated in sports and physical activities. The campaign emphasized the importance of dedicating at least one hour to physical activity for maintaining good health and overall well-being. The concluding ceremony was held on 30th August, 2026, in the College Auditorium. Dr. J. Suresh, Associate Dean, addressed the gathering and appreciated the students and staff for their enthusiastic participation. He emphasized that regular participation in sports contributes to physical fitness, mental well-being, discipline, confidence and team spirit. Dr. V. Ratnakar, Officer In-charge, Student Affairs (OISA), also participated in the programme. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners of the various sports events. The National Sports Day celebrations were conducted successfully and achieved the objective of encouraging the College community to actively participate in sports and physical activities. The programme promoted fitness, teamwork, discipline and sportsmanship and reinforced the message of “Khelega Bharat, Jeetega Bharat.”
