Siddipet conducted awareness programme cum demonstration on green gram preceding to rice at Siddipet

TRVK, Siddipet conducted awareness programme cum demonstration on incorporation of greengram preceding to Rice at Mandapally (V), Siddipet Urban (M), Siddipet district on 06.07.2026. Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Scientist explained about incorporation of green gram crop helps in improving the fertility of soil by the addition of organic carbon and also emphasized farming community about the scope of pulses area expansion with suitable varieties which can be adopted in different cropping systems. She also emphasized on the importance of greengram in N fixation and improving soil fertility due to its leguminous nature and also green manuring before kharif rice.
