Palem in collaboration with RARS, Palem organized a Diagnostic team visit in Cotton, Paddy & Vegetables fields at Tadoor

KVK, Palem along with the Scientists, RARS, Palem organized a Diagnostic team visit in Cotton, Paddy & Vegetables fields at Tadoor, Indrakal, Yadireddypally villages of Tadoor mandal on 29.07.2026. Cotton crop is at 65-70 days old, observed sucking pests complex recommended the Integrated Pest and Disease Management, need based, ETL based application of at the early stage of the crop specially thrips and its associated Tobacco Streak viral disease, spraying with 5% Neem oil at the early stage of the crop, Imidacloprid 0.25 ml/lit or Acetamaprid @ 0.8 g/lit or Flonicamid @ 0.4 g/lit or Fipronil @ 2ml/lit or Spinosad @ 0.5 ml/lit etc. Paddy is at nursery stage suggested to apply Carbofuran 3G @ 800g/acre nursery for stem borer management. Vegetables (Bhendi, Brinjal, Gourds, cluster bean, Dolichos bean, chilli and tomatto) are at flowering to fruit formation stage observed sucking pests and borers infestation suggested installation of sticky traps, pheromone traps, fruit fly traps, spraying with Azadiractin @10,000 PPM@ 3 ml/ L, ETL based/need based application of green pesticides/Label claim chemicals in vegetables. In this visit Dr. D. Sashibhushan, PS (Oil seeds), Dr. M. M. Kada Siddappa, Scientist (Agronomy), RARS, Palem & Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (PP), KVK, Palem and 17 farmers were participated.
