Organized an awareness programme of  International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking

As part of the observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU), College of Agriculture, Palem, organized an awareness programme on 26.06.2026 under the chairmanship of Dr. V. Anita, In-charge Associate Dean. The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse, promoting a healthy and drug-free lifestyle, and encouraging social responsibility in building a drug-free campus and society. The programme was graced by the chief guests, Sri Krishnaiah, Assistant Sub-Inspector of Police, Nagarkurnool, Sri Narasimha, Sri Shivashankar Reddy, and Smt. Ankita, Police Constables, Nagarkurnool educated students on the harmful effects of drug abuse, its physical, psychological, social, and legal consequences, the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle, and the collective responsibility of building a drug-free society. Awareness was also created on drug prevention, youth social responsibility, and relevant legal provisions. The NSS Programme Officer Smt.V. Sriramya, Assistant Professor Dr. M. Bhanushree, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students were actively participated in the programme. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, and the programme was successfully conducted in compliance with the observance of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, achieving its objective of promoting awareness and encouraging a drug-free campus and society.
