KVK organized a live viewing of the 98th ICAR Foundation Day celebrations

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bhadradri Kothagudem organized a live viewing of the 98th ICAR Foundation Day celebrations on 16th July 2026. The programme also included an awareness session on the impact of El Niño, contingent crop planning and the importance of biofertilizers for sustainable agriculture. Dr. T. Bharath, Senior Scientist & Head, KVK Bhadradri Kothagudem addressed the gathering and explained the adverse effects of El Niño on agriculture. He highlighted the importance of contingent crop planning and the suitable management practices to minimize climate-related risks. He also elaborated on the role of biofertilizers in improving soil health, enhancing nutrient availability, and promoting sustainable soil health management.

Sri P. Paparao, President of the Farmer Producer Organization (FPO), delivered a talk on natural farming practices and emphasized the importance of maintaining soil health through eco-friendly agricultural practices. Farmers actively participated in the live viewing of the 98th ICAR Foundation Day programme. Following the session, 65 farmers were distributed with biofertilizers, namely Pseudomonas and Trichoderma viride and 5 portable vermibeds under the Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) to promote sustainable crop production and soil health management. also distributed Maize herbicides and Redgram seed TDRG-59 under Mission on Aatmanirbharat in Pulses (MANP) with free of cost
