KVK Kampasagar conducted Awareness Programme – Khet Bachao Abhiyan- at One day workshop on natural farming-2026

KVK Kampasagar has conducted an Awareness Programme under Khet Bachao Abhiyan – A National Movement for Soil Health and Balanced Use of Fertilizers at KVK – Kampasagar. Dr. Anil Kumar, Principal Scientist and Head ARS, Kampasagar inaugurated the programme and explained about the importance of balanced fertilizer application in reducing pest and disease incidence in crops. Excessive and imbalanced use of fertilizers can increase pest problems and adversely affect the crop health. Smt. A. Ramulamma, Senior scientist & Head(i/c), explained the objectives of the Khet Bachao Abhiyan campaign and emphasized the importance of maintaining soil health through soil test-based fertilizer application and creating awareness among farmers on the judicious and balanced use of fertilizers for sustainable agricultural production and also highlighted the role of nutrition-sensitive agriculture and safe food production in improving family health and well-being. Smt. T. Himabindu SMS (Horticulture) emphasized about the importance of Natural farming and crop diversification.
