Guest Talk on “Stress Management” Organized at College of Agriculture

The programme was initiated under the guidance of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. Aldas Janaiah and coordinated with the support of Dr. Ch. Venugopala Reddy, Dean of Students Affairs, PJTAU, Hyderabad. The event was organised by Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean, and the National Service Scheme (NSS) Units of College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar. The resource person for the session was Sri. Nagesh Battlapenumarthi, Counselling Psychologist-Life skills Coach delivered an insightful lecture on “stress management” techniques. 

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Dr.  Shekar Kaluvala, NSS Programme Officer. Dr. C. Narendra Reddy, Associate Dean chaired the session and addressed the students and emphasized the significance of stress management in everyday life, particularly for students coping with academic pressures.

Sri. Nagesh Battlapenumarthi, elaborately discussed on the key aspects of stress management, including maintaining a compliment diary, practicing positive thinking, and developing effective coping strategies. He highlighted the importance of advance planning, self-discipline, and strong self-confidence in achieving academic success while managing stress effectively.

The session was highly informative and beneficial, with active participation of 353 of B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. Students, faculty and NSS POs of College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. D. Kalpana.
