BJR AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE SIRCILLA Celebrated Chakali Ilamma Birth Anniversary Celebrations

The Birth Anniversary of Chakali Ilamma, a prominent freedom fighter and courageous woman who played a significant role in the Telangana armed struggle, was commemorated at Babu Jagjivan Ram Agricultural College, Sircilla with due respect and enthusiasm. As part of the programme, the Associate Dean in-charge Dr. M. Swetha, along with the OISA, teaching and non-teaching staff, outsourcing personnel, and students, paid floral tributes to the portrait of Chakali Ilamma. The Associate Dean in-charge recalled her courage, determination, and significant contribution to the struggle for social justice and the rights of the rural and oppressed communities. She highlighted the values of courage, self-respect, social justice, and commitment to society exemplified by Chakali Ilamma. The programme also created awareness among students about her life, struggles, and contribution to the social and cultural history of Telangana. The celebrations concluded to draw inspiration from her life and uphold the values of social responsibility, equality, courage, and service to society.
