Krishi Vigyan Kendra Bhadradri Kothagudem organized an awareness programme on the balanced use of fertilizers at Pubelly Village, Yellandu Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem District on 01.05.2026. In this programme Dr. T. Bharath, Senior Scientist & Head, explained the importance of soil test–based fertilizer application, with special emphasis on the judicious use of nitrogen fertilizers for maintaining soil health. He also highlighted the need for crop diversification, natural farming, organic farming, and crop residue management to enhance soil fertility and improve productivity.

Sri B. Shiva, SMS (Horticulture), elaborated on the balanced use of fertilizers in horticultural crops. The programme was attended by the Sarpanch, Panchayat Secretary, and 35 farmers, who actively participated and interacted with the scientists.
