BJR Agricultural College, Siricilla Celebration of National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) on 31-10-2026
National Unity Day (Rashtriya Ekta Diwas) was celebrated at Babu Jagjivan Ram Agricultural College, Sircilla, on 31st October 2026, to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, popularly known as the Iron Man of India, in recognition of his significant contribution towards the integration and unity of the nation. In connection with the occasion, and in continuation of the Government of India’s Vigilance Awareness Campaign observed from 17th August to 16th October, 2026, the Associate Dean, faculty members, non-teaching staff and students paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
Keeping in view the importance of the occasion, the National Unity Day Pledge was taken by all the participants, reaffirming their commitment to uphold the unity, integrity and security of the nation.
On this occasion, the Associate Dean, Dr. S. Upendhar, highlighted the importance of National Unity Day and emphasized the need for unity, discipline, integrity and responsible citizenship. He further stated that India has a significant youth population and advised students to respect and follow the rules, laws and values established by society. He encouraged students to develop a sense of responsibility, honesty and commitment towards the nation and their respective organizations. He also emphasized that adherence to rules, ethical values and discipline by every individual would contribute significantly to the development of society and the growth of organizations.
