Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bhadradri Kothagudem, organized a live-streaming programme of the inauguration of the 24th Instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Sri Narendra Modi. During the programme, ₹18,460 crore was released under the scheme at KVK premisses on 30.10.2026. On this occasion, Sri Baburao, District Agricultural Officer, briefed the farmers on the importance of utilizing PM-KISAN financial assistance effectively for various agricultural operations.

Dr. T. Bharath, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK, explained the possible effects of El Niño on agricultural production and emphasized the importance of contingency crop planning to mitigate climate-related risks. He also highlighted the significance of soil health management through natural farming practices, crop residue management, crop diversification, and soil-test-based nutrient management for sustainable agricultural production. Sri Shoban Babu, Assistant Director of Agriculture, along with farmers, participated in the programme. The event focused on creating awareness among farmers about the effective utilization of PM-KISAN assistance, climate-resilient agricultural practices, and sustainable soil health management.
