College of Agricultural Engineering, Kandi (CAES), organized an exposure visit to the Centre of Excellence (CoE)

As part of the practical curriculum, the Department of Soil and Water Conservation Engineering (SWCE), College of Agricultural Engineering, Kandi (CAES), organized an exposure visit to the Centre of Excellence (CoE), Jeedimetla, Hyderabad, on Thursday, 8 October 2026, for third-year B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering students.

During the visit, students gained practical exposure to modern greenhouse agricultural technologies, water management practices, controlled cultivation systems, technological applications in agriculture, vertical trellising, vertical farming, and automated seed-filling machines. Experts at the Centre explained the applications and importance of these technologies in improving agricultural productivity, resource-use efficiency, and modern farming practices.

A total of 42 third-year B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering students participated in the programme, accompanied by Dr. M. Srinivasulu, Head of the Department of SWCE, and faculty members Dr. N. Gangadhar, Dr. B. Ramya, and Dr. S. Vinod Kumar.

Dr. M. Srinivasulu stated that the exposure visit was organized to strengthen students’ practical knowledge and familiarize them with advanced agricultural technologies. He also expressed his gratitude to Dr. R. Swamy, Associate Dean, CAES, for his support and encouragement in organizing the visit.
