Bhadradri Kothagudem, in collaboration with ICAR–Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bhadradri Kothagudem, in collaboration with ICAR–Indian Institute of Oilseeds Research (IIOR), Hyderabad, organized a training programme-cum-distribution of sunflower hybrid seeds (SUNFH-1) at KVK premises on 06.10.2026. During the programme, Dr. T. Bharath, Senior Scientist and Head, KVK Bhadradri Kothagudem, created awareness among farmers about nutrient management and Integrated Crop Management (ICM) practices in sunflower cultivation. He emphasized the importance of adopting scientific crop production practices to improve productivity and encouraged farmers to utilize the technical advisory and extension services provided by KVK for addressing their agricultural problems. Sri. Abhilash, Audit Officer, and Sri. Srinivas, Production Assistant, Akashavani Radio Station, along with 50 farmers, participated in the programme. Subsequently, sunflower hybrid seeds (SUNFH-1) were distributed to 60 farmers of Bhadradri Kothagudem district to encourage the adoption of improved sunflower cultivation practices and enhance oilseed production in the region.
