BJR Agricultural college Sircilla Celebrated  Sri Konda Laxman Bapuji Birth Anniversary

The Birth Anniversary of Sri Konda Laxman Bapuji was commemorated at BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla, on 27 September 2026 with due respect and honour. The programme was organized to remember and pay tribute to the life, sacrifices and contributions of Sri Konda Laxman Bapuji, a veteran freedom fighter, social leader and prominent personality associated with the Telangana movement. The programme was attended by the Associate Dean, OISA, faculty members and students of the college and they paid floral tributes to the portrait of Sri Konda Laxman Bapuji as a mark of respect and remembrance.

On the occasion, the participants shared their views on the life and contributions of Sri Konda Laxman Bapuji. They remembered his sacrifices and dedicated participation in India’s freedom struggle, particularly his efforts against the Nizam’s rule and his commitment to the welfare of the people. His courage, dedication and spirit of public service were highlighted as inspiring examples for the younger generation. The participants also recalled his significant contribution to the Telangana movement and his commitment to the aspirations and welfare of the people of Telangana. His public life reflected his concern for social justice, rural communities, farmers, handloom workers and economically and socially disadvantaged sections.

The speakers emphasized that commemorating the birth anniversary of such eminent personalities provides an opportunity for students to understand the history of the freedom struggle and the Telangana movement and to develop a sense of responsibility towards society and the nation. The participants remembered his valuable contributions to the freedom struggle, Telangana movement and the welfare of the people.
