Telangana Praja Palana Dinotsavam was celebrated at Babu Jagjivan Ram Agricultural College, Sircilla. Associate Dean, OISA, teaching and non-teaching staff, outsourcing personnel, and students of the college participated in the event.
As part of the celebrations, the Associate Dean, Dr. S. Upendhar, along with the OISA, teaching and non-teaching staff, outsourcing personnel, and students, paid floral tributes to the national leaders. This was followed by the unfurling of the National Flag, accompanied by the National Song, National Anthem and Telangana State Song, which instilled a strong sense of patriotism, unity, and pride among all the participants.
Thereafter, the Associate Dean addressed the gathering and highlighted the significance and importance of Telangana Praja Palana Dinotsavam. He spoke about the historical background of Telangana and recalled the struggles and sacrifices of the people of Telangana during the Telangana Armed Struggle (Telangana Sayudha Rythu Poratam) and subsequent movements for social justice, rights, dignity, and the welfare of the people. He emphasized that the progress and democratic freedoms enjoyed by the present generation are the result of the courage, sacrifices, and sustained efforts of the people and leaders of the past.
The Associate Dean further stated that freedom comes with responsibility and urged the students to make meaningful use of the opportunities available to them. He advised the students to acquire knowledge, develop their skills, maintain discipline, and contribute positively to society. He encouraged them to utilize their education and freedom for their self-development, the welfare and development of society, and the progress of the nation. He also called upon the students to uphold the values of democracy, unity, equality, social responsibility, and patriotism, and to become responsible citizens who contribute to the development of Telangana and the country.
