Bhoomi Pooja for Construction of New Agricultural College Buildings at Dichpally. The Vice-Chancellor of Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University, Professor Aldas Janaiah, stated that the construction of new buildings for the Agricultural College at Dichpally in Nizamabad district would be taken up at a cost of ₹123 crore.

On Wednesday, Professor Aldas Janaiah, Vice-Chancellor of Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University, along with Professor Yadagiri Rao, Vice-Chancellor of Telangana University, performed the Bhoomi Pooja at the land allotted for the Agricultural College at Dichpally.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice-Chancellor said that the Agricultural College, Dichpally, is the 11th Agricultural College in Telangana. He stated that works for the 12th Agricultural College at Huzurnagar and the 13th Agricultural College at Kodangal would commence soon.

He said that there is now an Agricultural College in each erstwhile district of Telangana. The Dichpally Agricultural College will have an intake of 120 students, and special efforts would be made to complete the construction of the buildings in time to accommodate students from the next academic year.

The Vice-Chancellor recalled that the foundation stone for the Agricultural College, Dichpally, was laid by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana, Sri Anumula Revanth Reddy, on February 6, 2026. He stated that comprehensive facilities would be provided for the students at the college. He further informed that four additional blocks would also be constructed as part of the campus development.

The programme was attended by Dr. K. Jhansi Rani, Dean of Agriculture, Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University; Dr. C.H. Venu Gopala Reddy, Dean of Student Affairs; Dr. K.V. Ramana Rao, Dean of Agricultural Engineering and Estate Officer; Dr. K. Gopalakrishnamurthy, Technical Secretary to the Vice-Chancellor; and Dr. S. Naveen Kumar, Associate Dean of the newly established Agricultural College, Dichpally, along with other officials and dignitaries.
