Nizamabad celebrated the 92nd Birth Anniversary of Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar
Agricultural College, Dichpally, Nizamabad celebrated the 92nd Birth Anniversary of Acharya Kothapalli Jayashankar on 06 August 2026 at the Virtual Classroom, College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad. The programme paid tribute to the visionary educationist, economist and ideologue of Telangana. Dr. S. Naveen Kumar, Associate Dean offered floral tributes and highlighted his contributions to higher education, social justice and the Telangana movement. Faculty members Dr. P. Vijaya Lakshmi, Professor (Agril. Extension), Dr. G. Satyanarayana Reddy, Assistant Professor (Agro), Dr. D. Divya Bharthi, Teaching Associate (Horti) and Students offered floral tributes to the portrait of Acharya Jayashankar.
Literary competitions viz., Elocution (Telugu & English) and Essay Writing (Telugu & English) were conducted on 05.08.2026 as per the schedule communicated. Students actively participated and demonstrated good communication and writing skills.

The programme concluded with the distribution of prizes to the winners and appreciation to all the participants. Dr. S. Naveen Kumar, Associate Dean motivated all students to read books distributed to them, told importance of books in shaping personality development and appreciated faculty for selection of excellent books.
In the afternoon session, all the faculty and students of Agricultural College, Dichpally, Nizamabad attended 92nd birth anniversary celebrations programme at University Auditorium, PJTAU, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
