The 92nd birth anniversary of Professor Kothapalli Jayashankar, the visionary ideologue and iconic leader of the Telangana movement, was celebrated with immense patriotic fervour and deep reverence at Agricultural College, Adilabad on 06.08.2026. The event aimed to honour his lifelong dedication, intellectual contributions, and relentless pursuit of statehood for Telangana, inspiring the younger generation to imbibe his values of selflessness and perseverance. The programme commenced with Dr. D. Kumara Swamy, Assistant Professor & OISA of the College inviting the esteemed guests onto the stage, setting a formal and respectful tone for the proceedings.

Following this, the Associate Dean of the College Dr. Y. Praveen Kumar, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students gathered to pay their floral tributes to the portrait of Professor Jayashankar. The Associate Dean then delivered an elaborate and insightful speech detailing the remarkable life and contributions of the leader.
