Swachhata Pakhwada – Campus Cleaning Programme at Agricultural College Warangal

As part of the observance of Swachhata Pakhwada, the NSS Unit of Agricultural College, Warangal organized a Campus Cleaning Programme on 01st August, 2026. The programme focused on the removal of Parthenium weed from various locations around the college campus to promote a clean, healthy and eco-friendly environment. The programme was organized in accordance with the Swachhata Pakhwada guidelines issued by PJTAU.

A total of 46 NSS volunteers actively participated in the programme with great enthusiasm. The volunteers removed Parthenium weed from roadsides, open spaces and other areas within the campus, contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment.

The programme was carried out under the guidance and active participation of NSS programme Officers Dr. B. Raju, Assistant Professor (SSAC), Smt. K. Gopika, Assistant Professor (Pl. Path.) and Er. G. Pragna, Assistant Professor (AENG) along with the OISA Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, Assistant Professor (Agricultural Extension) also participated in the programme and encouraged the volunteers throughout the activity.

The programme created awareness among students about the importance of environmental cleanliness, invasive weed management and community responsibility. It also strengthened the spirit of voluntary service and environmental stewardship among the NSS volunteers.
