The C-NARE, R.nagar has adopted Nallavelli village, Yacharam Mandal of RR Dist. for next 3 years

The Centre for Natural Resource and Environment (C-NARE), Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU), Rajendranagar has adopted Nallavelli village, Yacharam Mandal of Ranga Reddy District for next 3 years (2026-27 to 2028-29) for showcasing the university improved technologies through field demonstrations and capacity building programmes.

As part of the this, an inception meeting was held today (25-07-2026) at Nallavelli village panchayat office with the stakeholders i.e. village administration, line department officials and farmers of the village. Dr.V.Ramulu, Director, C-NARE welcomed the gathering and sensitised the objectives of the village adoption, the activities to be under taken under this programme and co-operation needed from the village and agril.department in under taking the proposed activities.

During the meeting, emphasis was placed on soil testing of village farm holdings, soil health cards preparation, improved technologies demonstrations, technical advisories along with capacity building of farmers. The action plan aimed at fostering participatory agricultural development in the village over the next three years by introducing modern agricultural technologies to the farming community.

The group of expert scientists participated in the meeting were also created basic awareness on efficient water management and conservation, soil fertility, integrated farming systems, agroforestry in increasing farmers’ income while reducing input costs and addressed climate resilience practices to overcome the impact of current prevailing-El Nino. The villagers expressed their gratitude and joy towards the PJTAU for selecting their village under this adopted village initiative.
