Siddipet- Conducted  Diagnostic field visit cum Group discussion on Paddy, Cotton & Maize

TRVK, Siddipet conducted diagnostic field visit cum group discussion on Paddy, Cotton & Maize at Alirajpet (V), Jagdevpur (M) on 13.07.2026 along with Agriculture department officials (DAO-Smt. Swaroopa Rani, MAO- U. Vasantha Rao). During the visit, a severe incidence of rice stem borer was observed in the paddy nursery.  In maize fields, FAW and stem borer infestations were noticed under the prevailing dry spell conditions. In cotton fields, infestation of sucking pests such as leafhoppers, aphids, and mealybugs were observed. Dr. Pallavi, coordinator & Scientist (CP) advised farmers to spray 19:19:19 or 13:0:45 @ 10 g per litre of water to promote crop growth along with pesticides. She also recommended intercultivation to conserve soil moisture and control weeds and advised farmers to apply the first dose of fertilizers only when adequate soil moisture is available. In this programme ATMA Committee Member Brahmachari, Krishi Sakhi Ms. Lalitha, farmers Mr. Bapu Reddy and R.  Kishtaiah from Alirajpet village, 5 no.s RAWEP students and 10 farmers participated.
