Rejuvenated Kidwai Cottage & Resort, renovated with the support of the HMDA, was inaugurated on 12th June 2026 in a grand ceremony held at the Agricultural Research Institute
The rejuvenated Kidwai Cottage & Resort, renovated with the support of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA), was inaugurated on 12th June 2026 in a grand ceremony held at the Agricultural Research Institute (ARI), Rajendranagar.
The facility was formally inaugurated by Sri Tummala Nageswara Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Marketing, Co-operation and Handlooms & Textiles, Government of Telangana. The function was presided over by Sri T. Prakash Goud, Hon’ble Member of Legislative Assembly, Rajendranagar Constituency.
The rejuvenation of the Kidwai Cottage & Resort was undertaken under the visionary leadership and support of Prof. Aldas Janaiah, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, PJTAU and it was meticulously coordinated by the Office of the Agricultural Research Institute, Rajendranagar. This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to strengthening its infrastructure and providing enhanced facilities for guests, visitors and the academic community.
On the occasion, the Director, Agricultural Research Institute, Rajendranagar explained the various developmental activities undertaken as part of the rejuvenation of the cottage and highlighted the efforts made to restore and upgrade the facility while preserving its heritage value.
The Registrar, university officers of PJTAU, participated in the event, making the occasion a memorable celebration of institutional progress and collaborative endeavour. The inauguration of the rejuvenated Kidwai Cottage & Resort marks a significant milestone in the University’s ongoing efforts to modernize campus amenities and create a welcoming environment that supports academic excellence, institutional development and stakeholder engagement.
