PJTAU 62nd FOUNDATION DAY CELEBRATIONS at BJR AGRICULTURAL COLLEGE, SIRCILLA

The 62nd Foundation Day of Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU) was celebrated at BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla, on 12th June 2026 with enthusiasm and active participation of teaching, non-teaching staff and students.

The programme was presided over by Dr. S. Upendhar, Associate Dean, BJR Agricultural College, Sircilla. Dr. P. Madhukar Rao, OISA, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and students participated in the celebrations. On this occasion, Dr. S. Upendhar highlighted the remarkable contributions of PJTAU towards agricultural education, research, and extension services over the past 62 years. He emphasized the University’s role in developing skilled agricultural professionals and serving the farming community through innovative technologies and scientific interventions.

A special felicitation programme was conducted for Mr. R. Chathrapathi, Final Year B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture student, who represented PJTAU in the Republic Day Parade held at New Delhi. In recognition of his achievement and for bringing laurels to the University, PJTAU sanctioned a cash award of Rs. 50,000. During the programme, Dr. S. Upendhar handed over the cheque to Mr. R. Chathrapathi and congratulated him on his outstanding accomplishment. OISA, Dr. P. Madhukar Rao appreciated the student’s achievement and encouraged students to actively participate in national-level programmes and extracurricular activities.

The faculty and students conveyed their Foundation Day greetings and reaffirmed their commitment towards the growth and development of the University. The programme concluded successfully with enthusiastic participation.
