Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem organized awareness on Khet Bachao Abhiyan Campaign to input fertilizer dealer at Chunchupally Rythuvedika, Chunchupally Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem District on 04.06.2026. During the programme, Dr. T. Bharath, Senior Scientist & Head, explained the importance of soil testing, soil test-based fertilizer application and balanced use of fertilizers for improving crop productivity and maintaining soil health. He also highlighted the benefits of green manuring, organic farming, and natural farming for sustainable agricultural production. A practical demonstration on soil sample collection procedures in paddy fields was conducted for the benefit of farmers. Sri B. Shiva, Scientist (Horticulture), explained the balanced use of fertilizers in vegetable and fruit crops and briefed the participants about nutrition kitchen garden kits and backyard poultry as means of improving household nutrition and income. Sri. David jayalrao, DEASI facilitator, Sri. Ranjith, Technical officers and 70 input dealers participated and benefited from the campaign.
