TRVK , Vemulawada Inauguration and Rythu Sadassu at Vemulawada on 26.05.2026

The Telangana Rythu Vignana Kendram (TRVK) was grandly inaugurated at Vemulawada on 26.05.2026 with the objective of bringing scientific and technological knowledge in agriculture closer to farmers and supporting their overall development. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Government Whip and Vemulawada MLA Sri Adi Srinivas and Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Professor Aldas Janaiah as chief guests.

Following the inauguration, Dr. R. Sai Kumar assumed charge as Coordinator, TRVK Vemulawada. On the occasion, MLA Sri Adi Srinivas and the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor felicitated Dr. Sai Kumar in recognition of his efforts in establishing and managing the centre.

Sri Adi Srinivas, Government Whip and MLA, Vemulawada, urged farmers to make full use of the services offered by TRVK. He highlighted the importance of adopting modern technologies in response to changing agricultural conditions. He stated that the centre would provide expert guidance, training programmes, and scientific solutions to crop-related issues. He further added that the welfare and development of farmers remain a top priority of the government and informed that 40 acres of land had been allotted to TRVK at Marripalli, Vemulawada.

Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Professor Aldas Janaiah explained the objectives and services of TRVK. He stated that the centre would play a vital role in educating farmers on modern agricultural technologies, scientific farming practices, integrated pest management, crop nutrient management, climate-based agricultural advisories, quality seed selection, and market information systems. He emphasized that adoption of scientific farming methods would help farmers reduce cultivation costs while improving productivity and income. He also mentioned that the centre would serve as a platform for direct interaction between farmers and scientists to address agricultural problems effectively.

Dr. Yakadri, Director of Extension, PJTAU, and District Agriculture Officer Afzal Begum stated that TRVK would work in close coordination with the Agriculture Department to provide better services to farmers. They explained that the centre and the department would jointly ensure dissemination of scientific advisories, crop management practices, pest and disease control measures, and awareness on government schemes. Farmers were encouraged to utilize these services to improve agricultural productivity and profitability.

Following the inauguration, a Rythu Sadassu (farmers’ seminar) was conducted in which scientists interacted with farmers on various issues including crop diseases, pest management, fertilizer usage, water management, marketing challenges, and crop rotation. Farmers received scientific explanations and practical solutions to their queries and expressed satisfaction with the programme.

In addition, the ATMA Chairman oath-taking ceremony was also conducted in the presence of public representatives, officials, and farmers. The newly appointed chairman pledged to work towards agricultural development and farmer welfare.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from the Vice Chancellor, agriculture department officials, scientists, public representatives, farmers, students, and staff from various departments, and concluded successfully in a vibrant and encouraging atmosphere.
