Bhadradri Kothagudem conducted a campaign on the balanced use of fertilizers

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem conducted a campaign on the balanced use of fertilizers at Markodu Village and Allapally Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem District on 30.04.2026. During the programme, Dr. T. Bharath, Senior Scientist & Head explained the detrimental effects of the indiscriminate use of fertilizers. He emphasized that the balanced application of fertilizers, in combination with organic and chemical sources, is essential for maintaining soil health. He also advised farmers to adopt soil test-based fertilizer application, green manuring, natural farming, and organic farming practices. B. Shiva briefed the participants on Integrated Crop Management practices in horticultural crops and highlighted the activities of KVK. The programme was attended by Sri. Kumara Raja, Agricultural Officer, the Sarpanch, and around 50 farmers.
