Agricultural College, Kodangal, is a newly established institution under Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU). It is located at Appaipally village in Kodangal mandal of Vikarabad District, sanctioned vide G.O. M.S No. 141, Dated 22nd October, 2025 of the Government of Telangana. The college has been established with the dual objectives to strengthen agricultural education, research and extension services in the region and also to bridge the gap in Agricultural education in erstwhile Ranga Reddy district. The college is situated in agriculturally important Southern Telangana Zone is characterized by diverse landscapes, including proximity to Ananthagiri hills and several water bodies and other natural resources, which support agricultural activities and field-based learnings. 

The proposed campus covers approximately 60 acres, providing adequate space for academic infrastructure, instructional farm and future expansion. The location has good connectivity to Kodangal, Vikarabad, Tandur and Hyderabad, facilitating academic and administrative access. The campus master plan includes essential academic and support facilities such as academic and administrative buildings, lecture halls, examination halls, an auditorium, student hostels, staff housing and sports infrastructure. In addition, the college is designed with a strong focus on experiential learning through farm units, greenhouses and farmer-oriented facilities like farm stores and demonstration plots.

The agro-climatic conditions of the region, including seasonal rainfall patterns, temperature variation and soil diversity, provide a suitable environment for agricultural education, research, and technology demonstration.

The Agricultural College, Kodangal, under PJTAU, aims to grow into a strong and impactful institution by focusing on collaboration, innovation and entrepreneurship. The college plans to build meaningful partnerships with leading national and international institutions to strengthen student research, share knowledge and address real agricultural challenges through advanced technologies and joint initiatives.
