Agricultural College, Adilabad organized Global Environmental awareness event, World Earth Day – 2026

The Earth Day Celebration was conducted with great enthusiasm and awareness at Agricultural College, Adilabad on April 22nd, 2026. The programme aimed to highlight the importance of protecting our environment and promoting sustainable practices among students.

The event began with the welcoming of the dignitaries onto the dais, creating a respectful and formal start to the occasion. A soulful song was dedicated to Mother Earth was presented, which beautifully conveyed the message of love, care and responsibility towards nature.

This was followed by an inspiring Earth Day pledge, where students and faculty collectively promised to protect and preserve our planet.

The program continued with introductory remarks by Dr. G. Manjulatha, Professor (Agronomy) & OISA who emphasized that 3R’s as the urgent need for environmental conservation and encouraged students to adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives and organised students events on Eco-Rangoli & a Story telling competition based on environmental themes in which students actively participated & showcased their creativity and awareness.

Following this, the prize distribution ceremony was held to appreciate the talents of students in various competitions held on this occasion.

Later Dr. Y. Praveen Kumar, Associate Dean, Agricultural College, Adilabad addressed the gathering has shared valuable insight on environmental responsibility and motivated students to become active contributors towards a greener future.

The program concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all the dignitaries, participants, organizers and audiences for making the event a grand success.

In this program, Dr. G. Anita, Dr. Kasbe Sudhamshu Sudhakar, Dr. M. Sunil Kumar, Dr. D. Kumara Swamy, Sri. G. Anil Kumar, Teaching Associates, Non-teaching staff and 2nd & 3rd year college students participated in this program.
