Rythu Nestham Live video conference Programme  Episode-102 Date: 11-08-2026

The 102nd   episode of the ‘Rythu Nestham’ Live Video Conference was conducted on 11th   Aug, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 Noon at the Electronic Wing Studio, Agricultural Research Institute (ARI), Rajendranagar. The programme commenced with the screening of the Rythu Nestham theme song and PJTAU Youtube channel promo.

Dr. Sravani, Scientist –D, India Meteorological Department (IMD), presented the weather forecast for the August month.  She briefed on the forecast of rainfall situation for upcoming  two weeks. She said that it is likely to remain dry and deficit rainfall condition except for parts of Telangana where some rain is expected due to depression in Bengal. 

Dr.S.G.Mahadevappa Principal Scientist (Agronomy) gave suitable crop options available as contingent crop plan during second fortnight of August and gave agronomic management of standing crops.

Progressive farmers Sri.Srinivasa Rao, Venkatapuram, Mulugu shared his experience in oil Palm cultivate as an alternate to Paddy, Sri.Ramachandraiah, Mahammadabad, Yadadri Dist, spoke about his success in bee rearing and honey production as a profitable enterprise.

The technical session concluded with an interactive Farmer–Scientist interaction, during which the panel of experts addressed farmers’ queries and provided location-specific technical recommendations.

The programme was presided over by Dr. M. Sreenivasulu, Principal Scientist (Agricultural Extension) and Coordinator, Electronic Wing, PJTAU, and was attended by officials from the Department of Agriculture and other allied departments.

Approximately 35,000 farmers from around 1,600 RythuVedikas across Telangana participated in the live video conference, making the programme a significant platform for disseminating contingency crop planning and climate-resilient agricultural practices during August month

Rythu Nestham Live video conference Programme (Episode-101 Date: 4-08-2026)

The 101st  episode of the ‘Rythu Nestham’ Live Video Conference was conducted on 4th   Aug, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 Noon at the Electronic Wing Studio, Agricultural Research Institute (ARI), Rajendranagar. The programme commenced with the screening of the Rythu Nestham theme song.

Dr. Sravani, Scientist, India Meteorological Department (IMD), presented the weather forecast for the August month.  She explained about rainfall occurring in some parts across the states due the depression developed in the Bay of Bengal. She advised farmers to plan their cropping activities based on weather forecasts and contingency advisories as second part of the months are likely to be very dry.

Dr.Latheef Pasha Principal Scientist (Agronomy) and Head, IFS briefed the farmers on precautionary measures to be taken to overcome the effect of prevailing bad weather condition on standing crops.

Dr.B.Mallaiah, Principal Scientist (Plant Pathology), explained about pest that may infest the crops under prevailing weather conditions and gave recommendations for effectively control.

The technical session concluded with an interactive Farmer–Scientist interaction, during which the panel of experts addressed farmers’ queries and provided location-specific technical recommendations.

Rythu Nestham Live video conference Programme (Episode-100 Date: 28-06-2026)

The 100th episode of the ‘Rythu Nestham’ Live Video Conference was conducted on 27 July 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Electronic Wing Studio, Agricultural Research Institute (ARI), Rajendranagar.

The programme commenced with the screening of the Rythu Nestham theme song, followed by the inaugural session. Sri Surendra Mohan, IAS, Secretary to Government, Agriculture & Cooperation Department, welcomed the dignitaries, officials, scientists and farmers participating in the programme.

Sri Sanjay Kumar Jaju, IAS, Chief Secretary to the Government of Telangana, congratulated all the officers and staff associated with Rythu Nestham on the successful completion of 100 episodes dedicated to serving farmers through digital technology. He appreciated the efforts of the University, the Department of Agriculture and all stakeholders in making the programme an effective platform for delivering timely agricultural advisories to the farming community.

Sri Thummala Nageshwar Rao, Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture, Telangana, felicitated the special invitee farmers who had actively participated in all the episodes of Rythu Nestham and made significant contributions during the Farmer–Scientist interaction sessions. He also felicitated Dr M. Sreenivasulu, Principal Scientist (Agricultural Extension) and Coordinator, Electronic Wing, PJTAU, along with other officials, in recognition of their dedicated efforts in successfully conducting the Rythu Nestham programme. He appreciated their continued commitment and encouraged farmers across the State to actively participate in future sessions.

During the technical session, Dr Sravani, Senior Scientist, India Meteorological Department (IMD), presented the weather forecast for the ensuing months. She informed the participants that a depression had formed over the Bay of Bengal, resulting in rainfall across the southern states of India. She advised farmers to remain updated with weather forecasts and undertake appropriate crop management practices based on prevailing weather conditions.

The technical session concluded with an interactive Farmer–Scientist Interaction, during which farmers from various districts appreciated the University and the Department of Agriculture for conducting this highly useful platform for addressing farmers’ queries and disseminating timely technical advisories.

The programme was attended by Prof. Aldas Janaiah, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, PJTAU; Dr Raji Reddy, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, SKLTGHU; Dr M. Yakadri, Director of Extension, PJTAU; Sri Narsimha Rao, Additional Director of Agriculture; and Dr M. Sreenivasulu, Principal Scientist (Agricultural Extension) and Coordinator, Electronic Wing, PJTAU. District Collectors, officials from the Department of Agriculture and various allied departments, scientists, extension personnel and other stakeholders also participated in the programme.

Approximately 2,00,000 farmers from around 1,600 Rythu Vedikas across Telangana participated in the live video conference, reaffirming the programme’s significance as an effective digital extension platform for disseminating timely agricultural information and strengthening farmer–scientist interaction across the State.

Rythu Nestham Live video conference Programme (Episode-95 Date: 16-06-2026)

The 95th episode of the ‘Rythu Nestham’ Live Video Conference was conducted on       16-06-2026 from 10-00 to 11-45 AM at the Electronic Wing Studio, ARI, Rajendranagar. The programme started with playing of series of videos on Rythu Nestham song, Urea booking App, ill effects of excess urea usage in Rice etc. Sri. T. Nageshwara Rao , Hon’ble Agril.Minister   requested framers to go for crop diversification and  adopt natural farming practices . Sri K.Madan Mohan Rao, MLA, Yella Reddy suggested  additions in Urea booking App. Technical session started with presentation of  Dr.K.Suresh, P.S.[Agro] AICRP on IFS, C-NARE  Hyderabad on Importance of Natural farming in present context for sustainable agriculture.. Later farmers from different Rythu Vedikas  shared their experience about Urea booking App and Natural farming .

Rythu Nestham Live video conference Programme  (Episode-93 Date: 26-05-2026)

 The 93rd   episode of the ‘Rythu Nestham’ Live Video Conference was conducted on       26-05-2026 from 10-00 to 12.00 AM at the Electronic Wing Studio, ARI, Rajendranagar. The programme started with playing of series of videos on Rythu Nestham song, PJTAU   YouTube promo and Pro’s and Con’s of Stubble burning. The programme had special agenda themed around “stop crop residue burning and save nature” hosted by department of Agriculture from Secretariat with Sri. T. Nageshwara Rao , Hon’ble Agril.Minister as chief guest. Technical session started with presentation of  Dr.AV.Ramanjaneyulu P.S.[Agro] AICRP on Agro forestry, Hydearabad  briefed the farmers about nutrients available in residues of major crops at harvest and Pro’s and Con’s of Stubble burning . Later inspirational stories of farmers who converted waste into wealth were shared by Sri.Devendhar Reddy , Inavole mandal, Hanumakonda District. Followed by Sri. Sri.M.Paramesh from Dandepally, Mancherial District. Later in the session Dr. Ch.Sathyanarayana, Professor and University Head , Dep. of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry, Extension Education, College of Veterinary Science Rajendranagar. Explained about safeguarding milch animals during Summer

Rythu Nestham Live video conference Programme  (Episode-92 Date: 20-04-2026)

The 92nd  episode of the ‘Rythu Nestham’ Live Video Conference was conducted on       19-05-2026 from 10-00 to 11.45 AM at the Electronic Wing Studio, ARI, Rajendranagar. The programme started with playing of series of videos on Rythu Nestham song, PJTAU   YouTube promo. The programme had special agenda themed around distribution of green manure seed and Gypsum to farmers of the state, hosted by department of Agriculture from Secretariat with Sri. T. Nageshwara Rao as chief guest. Followed by Dr.M.V.Nagesh Kumar, Director [seeds] briefed the farmers about the Quality Seed at Every Village programme week starting from 23rd to 30th May 2026. Later Dr. S.Sreedevi Principal Scientist [Soil Science] explained the benefits of green manure crops and application of gypsum as soil amendment.

Rythu Nestham (Episode-90 Date: 20-04-2026)

The 90th episode of the ‘Rythu Nestham’ Live Video Conference was conducted on 20-04-2026 from 4PM to 9PM at the Electronic Wing Studio, ARI, Rajendranagar. The programme began with playing of series of videos on Rythunestham song, PJTAU   YouTube promo and  Dept.of Agril. App followed by technical session themed around strategies to soil health management. The presentations started with Dr.A.Madhavi, Principal Scientist& Head who highlighted good Soil Sampling methodology, importance of soil testing and Soil Health Management, followed by Dr. Sridevi,  Principal Scientist, SHU who explained to the farmers on Soil Health Card Interpretation. Dr. M.Shankar, , Principal Scientist, SHU, briefed on the soil pollution and its effects on Agriculture. Dr.T.Sukruth Kumar, Principal Scientist, SHU explained the farmers on importance of secondary & micro nutrients in crop growth. Dr.A.V.Ramanjaneyulu , Principal Scientist[Agronomy] AICRP on Agro forestry in his presentation stressed on crop residue management for sustainable agriculture. 

Followed by live telecasting of 2nd phase of Rythu Barosa funds release to farmers by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Telangana venued at Nashturpally Village, Kataram, Mandal, Jayashankar Bhupalpally District.

The 89th  episode of the ‘Rythu Nestham’ Live Video Conference was conducted on 07-04-2026 from 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon at the Electronic Wing Studio, ARI, Rajendranagar. The programme began with playing of series of videos on Rythunestham song, PJTAU Agricultural Videos YouTube promo,  Awareness on urea booking app, Optimum use of urea and Natural farming followed by the review of Sri.T.Nageshwara Rao Hon’ble Minister for Agriculture  on use  of urea App. The technical session started with extempore presentation  of Dr. CH.Dhamodhar Raju, Director SRTC, R’nagar, Hyderabad on promotion of fine grain varieties in Telangana State followed by
