Agriculture Exposure Visit by students of ZPHS

As a part of Agriculture Exposure Visit students of ZPHS, Rajapur village, Jedcherla mandal visited Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Palem on 20.01.2026. The main objective of the agriculture exposure visit by the students is to get the knowledge about plants, how the crops were grown and also to enhance students’ understanding of modern farming practices, crop production, and agricultural research activities at RARS, Palem & Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University.

The programme started with university song. Later Dr. V. Divya Rani briefed about the various crops and schemes and their activities at RARS, Palem and its contributions to farming society. Later we have shown PJTAU Dimond jubilee video, PJTAU vison 2047 and utilisation robotics in PJTAU agricultural research to the students to get overall idea about the activities undertaken by the PJT Agricultural University. 

 Later Students were guided through various crop schemes of the research station. They have visited redgram, millets, maize and castor crops in the research station and learned about the crop production techniques. Dr. Kada Siddappa explained about various farm implements and their importance in agriculture. Later students visited seed processing and millet processing units. The scientists of RARS, Palem interacted with students and clarified their doubts in a simple and engaging manner. Students showed keen interest and actively participated in discussions. A total of 55 students from Classes 8, 9 and 10th along with six teachers including the school Head Master attended the exposure visit.
