KVK, Palem Conducted Training programme on Value Added Products of Millets at Vattem village on 09.01.2026. Dr. P. Sreedevi, KVK, Palem explained the status of nutritional deficiencies in nagarkurnool and to come back nutritional deficiencies inclusion of millets in regular diet. Explained about nutritional importance of millets and in inclusion in regular diet among family. RAWEP students of wanaparthy explained about need for value addition in millets as follows: 1. Enhanced digestibility and nutritional quality. 2.Combating malnutrition. 3.Generating higher income for farmers and entrepreneurs. RAWEP students demonstrated value added products with few millets such as Ragi, Bajra, Jowar, Arikalu, Samalu. Also promoted women farmers about how to start a business and generate additional income. Farm women actively participated in the programme and they expressed their ideas. Farmers expressed that millet items showed were simple and easy to prepare, tasty, healthy and they felt that they are very useful products. They expressed their willingness in adoption and preparation of these items and consuming in their regular diet. In this training Dr. P. Sreedevi, Programme co-ordinator, KVK, Palem, Dr. O. Shaila, i/c SMS(Home Science), KVK, Palem and 35 women farmers were participated.
