    Student Experiences

The department of Extension Education and Communication Management shaped my academic and professional identity. I gained knowledge in participatory approaches, communication strategies, and community development. I am proud to share that the outcomes of my Ph.D. work were recognized and adopted across PJTAU as the Student Academic Performance Repository (SAPR). I remain deeply grateful to EECM, CCSc and its faculty, whose guidance, inspiration, and mentorship continue to shape my growth and purpose.

    Dr. K. Keerthi, HHD/2014-006

The teachers encouraged me at every stage and gave many opportunities to take part in seminars, workshops, and hands-on training sessions, which helped me become more confident in teaching and research. Also, our faculty monitor students’ progress in advisory classes, and research review meetings. One of the best parts of studying here was the practical learning. We were not restricted to the theory classes, we worked on projects, created digital content, visited communities, and learned how to use media for education and awareness. It shaped me into who I am today – a student, a researcher, and a strong independent woman.

    Dr. Alam Prashanthi, HHD/2018-10

My experience at EECM was meaningful and inspiring. I learned a lot from the faculty and the positive college environment. During my M.Sc., I worked on the research topic “Digital Nutrition Dictionary in Indian Sign Language for Hearing Impaired Children – Development and Validation,” for which I received copyright. This work motivated me to continue working in this field. This experience improved my communication skills, built my confidence, and prepared me well for my career.

    Ms. Anubhuti Pandey, HHM/2016-09

As an ICAR student from another state, I was initially worried about adjusting to a new place. However, my time at college turned out to be a very positive experience. The department gave me excellent learning opportunities, both in theory and practical work. The faculty members and seniors were very supportive, kind, and easy to approach. The department is equipped with well-established infrastructure, including multimedia laboratories, Vistarana studio, seminar hall, and field-based learning environments to support PG and Ph.D. programmes.
