Department of Agri-Business Management

The School of Agribusiness Management (SABM) was established in the year 2000 and offers a two-year Post Graduate Programme, MBA (Agri Business Management), exclusively designed for graduates of agriculture and allied sciences. The School functions as an integral part of the College of Agriculture, Rajendranagar, the main campus of Professor Jayashankar Telangana Agricultural University (PJTAU).

The MBA (ABM) curriculum is thoughtfully designed in line with the course structure recommended by ICAR, benchmarked against premier national institutes, and enriched with inputs from industry experts to ensure strong academic and practical relevance.

    Since its inception, SABM has produced nearly 410 graduates, who are successfully employed across diverse sectors of agribusiness and government organizations. The programme offers wide career opportunities in areas such as agricultural input industries, quality certification agencies, food retail, agri-finance, agri-commodity trading firms, logistics and supply chain management, technology-based start-ups, and business analytics.

    Several alumni of SABM currently hold top management positions in prestigious institutions, while others have established their own successful agribusiness enterprises. The strong alumni network actively supports current students by providing mentorship and facilitating internship opportunities, thereby strengthening industry exposure and career readiness.

It also offers excellent employment opportunities and a vibrant campus life that makes learning engaging and memorable. I am currently employed at Coromandel, where I can clearly apply the concepts learned during the MBA (ABM) programme. The problem-solving and analytical skills gained have helped me work effectively with colleagues and consistently achieve targets.
