Introduction
The university offers Postgraduate (PG) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) programmes in Agriculture, Home Science, and Agricultural Engineering. These include M.Sc. (Ag.) in twelve disciplines, Ph.D. in ten disciplines, M.Tech. in one engineering discipline, and an MBA (Agribusiness Management) programme. Admissions are conducted through ICAR entrance examinations, with 25% of the seats reserved under the ICAR quota. In addition, the university admits international students and in-service candidates as per the prescribed guidelines. Both the PG and Ph.D. programmes are of two years’ duration and comprise coursework, research, thesis submission, and publication requirements. Research activities focus on mandate crops, multidisciplinary themes, and public–private partnership (PPP) collaborations. Evaluation is carried out through external examinations, viva-voce, and continuous assessment using TARPC software.
