TRVK, Siddipet organized exposure visit to the RAWEP students of BJR, Agricultural College, Siricilla to Poultry farm of Sri. Vaikuntam at Ghanapur (V), Thoguta (M), Siddipet (Dt.) on 12.09.2025. Farmer Sri. Vaikuntam had explained poultry farming as a profitable yet demanding agro-business requiring careful management of housing, feed, and bird health, and often starting with low investment to grow into a large-scale operation. Essential considerations include selecting a good location with proper drainage and ventilation, choosing healthy, high-quality chicks from a reputable source, providing the correct feed and vaccinations, and practicing consistent disease prevention. Farmers emphasize the importance of understanding the specific needs of the chosen bird breed and replicating successful processes to expand their operations. He has explained in detail about economical profit and loss statement of his poultry farm unit established by him. Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Coordinator, TRVK, Siddipet briefed to utilize this opportunity to take up self-employment in agriculture and allied sectors and students should focus on startup ecosystems, social entrepreneurship or entrepreneurial finance to address real-world challenges.
