Training cum awareness programme was organized on soil test based fertilizer application in Paddy, Cotton and Maize by Telangana Rythu Vignana Kendram, Siddipet on 29.07.2025

Telangana Rythu Vignana Kendram, Siddipet has organized training programme on soil test based fertilizer application in Paddy, Cotton and Maize on 29.07.2025 at Gudikandula rythu vedika, Thoguta (M), Siddipet District. The programme was started with welcome address by Dr. Ch. Pallavi, Coordinator explained about nutrient management to be followed in cotton and maize based on the soil test and advised the farmers to go for testing the their soils for adopting soil test based fertilizers application ultimately conscious use of fertilizers. Efficient use of plant nutrients through chemical fertilizers and organic manures is a good means for increasing productivity and profitability of cotton and paddy at the same time cost of fertilizers has gone up and their optimal use is required. Dr. G. Santhosh Kumar, Scientist & Head, ARS, Tornala attended as a chief guest and explained the nutrient management in paddy. Later, folder on Nutrient management in Paddy, Cotton & Maize for Siddipet district was released by chief guest. Dr. A. Ramadevi, Scientist (Ento.), ARS, Tornala created awareness on the pests and disease management in Kharif crops, Various questions were raised by the farmers and scientist have clarified their doubts. Later Coromandel International Sr. Manager P. Prasad have explained about the importance and usage of Nano urea and Nano DAP in cotton and Maize, followed by demonstration of nano DAP @ 0.5 lt/acre with drone in Beeraiah farmer cotton field. In this programme, MAO- S. Mohan, Sri. M. Devender and Smt. M. Navya, AEOs, BJR Agricultural college, Sircilla RAWEP students 16 No. and 50 No.s of progressive farmers have attended the programme.
