KVK, Palem organized a Training Programme on “Management of sucking pests in Cotton” at KVK, Palem (V), Bijinepally (M), Nagrakurnool (D) on 27.06.2025. Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (PP) highlighted the major sucking pests (jassids, aphids, mealybug and thrips) their nature of damage, symptoms and ETL’s during the early stage of the crop. Integrated management practices include stem application, installation of sticky traps, application of neem-based insecticide, role of biocontrol agents, intercrops, trap crops and border crops. Finally created awareness on safe and judicious usage of the insecticides and their combinations, compatibility. In this training Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (Plant protection) and 42 farmers were participated.
