An Input Distribution-cum-Training Programme on Best Management Practices in Sesame was conducted under the Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) 2025–26 by AICRP on Sesame, Regional Agricultural Research Station (RARS), Jagtial organized at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bellampalli. During the programme, Dr. N. Sandya Kishore, Senior Scientist, AICRP on Sesame, explained the importance of sesame cultivation and highlighted improved production technologies, including suitable varieties, nutrient management, pest and disease management and yield enhancement practices. Dr. N. Mahesh, SMS (Crop Production) briefed the farmers on the importance of sesame in crop diversification and income generation, particularly for tribal farmers under rainfed conditions. As part of the programme, sesame seed (JCS-1020 and JCS-2454) distributed to 25 tribal farmers of Kerimeri Mandal, Kumuram Bheem Asifabad District to promote improved sesame cultivation practices and enhance productivity under the Tribal Sub Plan.
