Agricultural College, Warangal celebrates Samvidhan Divas on 26th November, 2025

The constitution day (Samvidhan Divas) of India was celebrated at the Agricultural College, Warangal, on 26th November, 2025, with exuberance and patriotic fervour. About 200 first-year admitted batch students and faculty have participated in the celebration coordinated by the NSS Unit of the college. The programme was started with the floral tributes to Dr B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian constitution, and a welcome address by Dr B. Raju, Assistant Professor, Department of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, who briefed about the significance of the constitution day. The preamble to the Indian constitution was administered on the occasion by the NSS volunteers to the gathering. Dr Ch. Ramesh, Officer in Charge of Academic Matters, while addressing the occasion, informed that students shall nurture the virtues of being responsible citizens and contribute to the welfare of the society. Dr B. Vidhyadhar, Professor and Officer in Charge of Student Activities, has spoken on the significance of the Indian constitution and its uniqueness in the world panorama and informed that students shall understand the spirit of the constitution to be responsible citizens. Dr V. Ravinder Naik, the Associate Dean, while addressing the students, has informed them that on 26th November, 1949, the Constituent Assembly adopted the Constitution of India, which is the most significant event after independence. On the occasion, he informed that the constitution has provided everything to the citizens and is standing as an example to many other countries in the world and urged that every citizen shall be aware of not only the fundamental rights but also the fundamental duties to be performed by every citizen to make India a great nation. Prizes were announced to the students who participated in various literary events on the occasion. Teaching faculty Dr S. Malathi, Professor and Head; Dr T. Srijaya, Professor; Dr N. Kishore Kumar; Dr S. Srinivas Naik, Assistant Professors; and Nagi Reddy, Physical Director, and students attended the programme, which was concluded by the national anthem.
