In this discussion mainly avoid over usage of Urea, practice judicious use of Agro-chemicals, preserve payment receipts for all Agri-Inputs, conserve water for sustainable agriculture, select quality seed and treat prior to sowing, boost organic matter to rebuild soil health, crop diversification for profitability, adopt bio fertilizers to enhance nutrient uptake, manage crop residues with mechanization, usage of the fertilizers should be applied based on the crop stage. Farmers expressed that, they have been collecting the bill receipts for seed and pesticides which ever they purchase, they have reduced the urea usage by 40% and going for nano urea plus spray based on the requirement of the crop, they are following the crop rotation maize followed by Bengal gram (black soils), cotton followed by maize by incorporating the cotton stalks, which helped them to add 2-3t of organic matter to fields, observed the earthworms in black soils as well for soil health management.
