Organized Pre Kharif Awareness Campaign on HDPS/CS in cotton under special project at KVK, Palem on 28.04.2025.

KVK, Palem in collaboration with Rasi Seeds Pvt Ltd. Organized a Pre Kharif Awareness Campaign on HDPS/CS in cotton under special project at Cherla Itikyala (V), Tadoor (M), Nagarkurnool (D) on 28.04.2025. Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (Plant protection) highlighted the importance of High-Density Planting system/CS in cotton which is highly suitable to lighter soils under rainfed conditions. Explained how HDPS is advantageous over the normal planting systems, Shared the demonstrations conducted in various cluster of the district, feedback of the farmers and success stories of benefited farmers who achieved higher yield by adopting HDPS in cotton over the past three years. Discussed about the suitable hybrids and ideal characters of a hybrid under HDPS technology, importance of mechanization as well. Encouraged the farmers to adopt HDPS/CS technology and emphasized on the major objectives of the special project on HDPS/CS. In this programme Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (Plant protection), Harish, Pushpa Latha, Y. Sultan YP I, KVK, Palem, Sri. Madhu, Field officer and team, Rasi Seeds Pvt Ltd. and 64 farmers a Total of 82 members were participated.
