Tribal Products Exhibition” Visited by Agricultural College, Adilabad – Students on 31.07.2025

The third year students of B.Sc (Hons.) Ag. from Agricultural College, Adilabad visited the Rural Tribal Products Exhibition organized by Akansha Haat under the auspices of Dr. Manjulata, Professor Student In-charge on Thursday.

The students visited various stalls held at the local TTD Kalyana Mandapam and inquired about the manufacturing process and marketing process of various products.

In this program, the students were made aware about increasing entrepreneurship skills. The main theme of this program is "Vocal for Local" (Support for local products).

The program in-charge Dr. Manjulatha said that such exhibitions increase the awareness of students on various technical and social issues. Other teaching staff Dr. D. Kumaraswamy, Dr. Jayachandra Reddy, Smt. Nagamani and non-teaching staff participated in this program.

With other following other objectives:

• To get acquaintance with the knowledge of production / processing / value addition / marketing methods.
• Observe promoting Techniques: Explore how stall owners use storytelling, packaging, cultural identity & local heritage to promote their goods.
• Cultural Significance: Learn how each product reflects tribal traditions, Ecological knowledge & local wisdom.
• Government support schemes: Awareness about Govt. initiatives like TIFED, Van Dhan Yojana & GI tagging which help in promoting tribal arrangements.
