Conducted a Diagnostic cum Paddy minikit field visit on 22.04.2025 at Venkatapur village, KVK, Palem.

KVK, Palem conducted a Diagnostic cum Paddy minikit field visit at Venkatapur (V), Budaram (M), Wanaparthy (D) on 22.04.2025. The crop is at grain hardening stage and observed stem borer (4 white ears /m2), neck blast (10%) and Panicle mite (15%) and due to recent heavy rains (on 20.04.2025) heavy lodging occurred. WGL 1537 paddy minikit is at harvesting stage, pests and disease incidence is comparatively lesser. Biometric observations (Height – 85.7 cm, Tillers – 21 per hill, panicle length-23.5 cm) was noted down. Discussed the best management practices in paddy ecosystem. In this visit Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (Plant protection), K. Ramakrishna, SMS (CP), Harish (YP I) and 3 farmers were participated.
