KVK, Palem in collaboration with the Department of Horticulture organized a Training on" Pruning and Rejuvenation of mango orchards" under CDP in mango Ankiraopally (V) farmer's orchard, Kollapur (M), Nagrakurnool (D) on 31.07.2025. Dr. Adhi Shankar, SMS (Hort), highlighted the Best management practices in mango orchards including pruning, orchards rejuvenation, top working, procedures and HDPS in mango, mechanization, weed management and integrated nutrient management. Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (Plant Protection) emphacized on Integrated pests and diseases management strategies to achieve the higher yields. Dr. Harikanth, Scientist (Hort), FRS, Sangareddy briefed the varieties available in the research station, newly designed farm implements and mechanization in the orchards. Sri. B. Babu, JDH interacted with farmers regarding the cluster development pilot project of mango farmers in Telangana. Pre, post production and post-harvest management practices. Sri. K. Srihari, Founder, Global academy on food safety and sustainability standard briefed the information on global gap scheme - good agricultural practices and facilitation of exports, certification of produce procedure. In this training Dr. Adhi Shankar, SMS (Hort), Dr. O. Shaila, SMS (Plant Protection), KVK, Palem, Sri. B. Babu, JDH, Sri. Srihari, Kotela, District Horticulture officers of Wanaparthy, Gadwal, Nagarkurnool, Mahaboobnagar, MHO's HEO' s and a Total of 256 members were participated.
