Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Bhadradri Kothagudem has conducted “Rythu Mungitlo Sashthravethalu” Launch programme at Penagadapa village of Chunchupally mandal on 05-05-2025. In this programme Sri Kunamaneni Samba Shiva Rao, Hon’ble MLA, Kothagudem division and Sri Jitesh V. Patil, Hon’ble District Collector & Magistrate, Bhadradri Kothagudem has attended as chief guests. As part of the programme, Dr. V. Lakshmi Narayanamma, Programme co-ordinator, welcomed the guests and has given the over view about the programme. Sri Jitesh V. Patil, Hon’ble District Collector in his inaugural address emphasized the importance of six key points and their adoptability among the farmers viz., avoid over usage of urea, preserve payment receipts for all agri-inputs, practice judicious use of agro-chemicals, conserve water for sustainable agriculture and encouraged to dig farm ponds, select quality seed and treat prior to sowing and boost organic matter to rebuild soil health. Hon’ble MLA, Kothagudem, Sri Kunamaneni Samba Shiva Rao garu stressed upon the activities that are taking up by the KVK staff and also suggested to encourage farmers about the crop diversification, increase area under pulses especially red gram as sole crop. Mr. B. Shiva, SMS (Hort) has explained the package of practices to be followed in Moringa crop, beekeeping practices etc. In this programme, ADA, Kothagudem Sri Narasimha Rao, MAO, Smt. B. Rajeswari, AEO Smt. Mamatha and 126 farmers participated.
