KVK Bhadradri Kothagudem in collaboration with Agricultural College, Aswaraopet, Organized Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) Programme on 04.02.2026

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Bhadradri Kothagudem in collaboration with Agricultural College, Aswaraopet, organized Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) activities as part of the Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) Programme in various villages, viz., Hemachandrapuram Village of Laxmidevipally Mandal, Morrampalli Banjara Village of Burgampahad Mandal, Kakarla Village of Julurpad Mandal and Nayakangudem Village of Sujathanagar Mandals of Bhadradri Kothagudem District on 04.02.2026. During the programme, final-year students conducted PRA exercises in the respective villages and explained village-specific resources, problems and opportunities through diagrammatic representations and maps. The activity helped in understanding the socio-economic conditions, natural resources and farming systems of the villages through participatory interaction with farmers. The programme was attended by Dr. T. Bharath, Programme Coordinator, KVK Bhadradri Kothagudem; Sri. Tatarao, ADA, Manuguru; Dr. Sravan Kumar, Assistant Professor, Agricultural College, Aswaraopet; Scientists Dr. N. Hema Sarat Chandra and Dr. B. Shiva, along with farmers and students. On the same occasion, Social Justice Day was also observed at Hemachandrapuram village, highlighting the importance of equality, inclusiveness, and social harmony.
