The International Day of Yoga 2025 was celebrated with great Spirit and enthusiasm at Agricultural College, Palem on 21st June 2025. The event was organized in alignment with the global theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health”, emphasizing the importance of yoga in achieving physical, mental and environmental harmony. Students, teaching, non-teaching and outsourcing staff actively participated in the programme with keen interest and involvement. The yoga session was conducted by Yoga Guru Sri Shiva Prasad from Nagarkurnool, a well-known expert in the field. He began the session with an insightful talk on the significance of yoga in daily life and its role in holistic health. Following this, he led the gathering through a series of yoga asanas and breathing exercises, ensuring proper techniques were followed. The participants eagerly practiced the asanas under his guidance and expressed a high level of enthusiasm throughout the session. The programme was smoothly coordinated by NSS Programme Officers A. Sriram and Dr. T. Archana, who took initiatives in mobilizing participation and ensuring all necessary arrangements. After the completion of the yoga session, fresh fruits were distributed to all participants as a gesture promoting healthy dietary habits alongside physical wellness. Post-programme, photos and videos were uploaded on the Ministry of AYUSH Yoga Sangam portal at https://yoga.ayush.gov.in/yoga-sangam. The college received a Certificate of Participation and the programme was officially documented under the Organizer ID. The celebration successfully conveyed the message of unity, wellness, and sustainability, aligning with the core essence of the International Day of Yoga.
