  • Welcome Address: The event began with a welcome address by the The Associate Dean, Dr. J. Hemantha Kumar of Agricultural College, Aswaraopet, highlighting the importance of Yoga in daily life and the occasion of International Yoga Day.
  • Yoga Session: A one-hour yoga session was led by a certified yoga instructor, Dr. P. Neelima, Assistant Professor, Dept. of Horticulture. The session included warm up exercises, asanas (physical postures), breathing exercises (Pranayama), surya namaskara (Sun Salutation) and meditation techniques, aimed at improving flexibility, reducing stress, and enhancing mental clarity.
  • Postures Covered: According to the CYP- 2025, all the asanas were covered, Surya Namaskar, Tadasana, Trikonasana, Bhujangasana, and Shavasana, among others.
  • Interactive Engagement: A short Q&A session was held after the yoga practice to answer queries from the participants regarding the benefits of different asanas and their integration into daily routines.
