Organized a field day on “Zero tillage in Maize” on 22.03.2025 at KVK, Malyal.

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Malyal organized Field day on “Zero tillage in Maize” under DAPSC (SCSP), 2024-25 at Kolhapur village of Gudur Mandal on 22-03-2025. On this occasion Sri Laxman shared his experiences in Paddy follow Zero tillage in Maize, Sowing, Seed rate per acre, Water, Fertilizer management and expected yield. Other farmers also shared their experiences. Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator addressed the gathering and explained about advantages of growing Zero tillage in Maize, Sowing time, Sowing method, application of Herbicides, timely application of fertilizers and yield improvement. She also advised to take up Zero tillage in Maize, Pulses in a large area for next year. Dr. N. Kishore Kumar, SMS (Extension) and 52 farmers from SCSP project adopted villages Kolhapur and Kambalapalli are participated in the programme.
