Conducted a Zonal Research and Extension Advisory Council Meeting of Central Telangana Zone on 24th & 25th March, 2025 at KVK, Wyra.

Zonal Research and Extension advisory council meeting of Central Telangana zone was conducted at Rythu shikshana Bhavanam of KVK, Wyra on 24th and 25th March, 2025. For this meeting Dr. M. Balaram, Director of Research, PJTAU, Dr. M. Yakadri, Director of Extension, PJTAU, Dr. R. Uma Reddy, Associate director of Research, Central Telangana Zone, Sri. B. Singa Reddy, DDA, Commissionerate, Department of Agriculture, Hyderabad and District Agriculture Officers, Assistant Director of Agriculture, DHSOs and MAOs of 11 districts. On 24th March,2025, the inaugural session was started by inviting dignitaries on to the dias by Dr. B. Dileep Kumar, Co-ordinator, DAATTC Warangal, lighting of lamp was done by all the dignitaries on the dias followed by university song. Dr. R. Uma Reddy has presented Research Highlights and Agro-technologies of Central Telangana Zone, Opening remarks given by Dr. M. Balaram, Director of Research, PJTAU. Action taken report was presented by Dr. K. Rukmini Devi, Principal Scientist (Pl.Br) & Head, ARS, Madhira. Presentation of Extension Highlights including results of OFTs & FLDs (Programmes conducted by DAATTCs & KVKs of CTZ) Was presented by Dr. S. Malathi, Programme Coordinator, KVK, Malyal. Sri. Muzammil Khan, I.A.S, Collector & District Magistrate, Khammam was the chief guest of the programme. In his remarks suggested that all the technologies should go from lab to land for increasing the farmers income. During the programme Dr. M. Yakadri, Director of Extension, PJTAU, Hyderabad has given the remarks on the Extension highlights. Presentation of results of minikits conducted during previous Kharif & Rabi Was given by DAO/Line Departments. Farmers scientists’ interaction was held and all the queries raised by the farmers were clarified by all the principal scientists. On 25th, March, 2025 Problem identification through feedback, interaction with farmers, extension officers joint field visits and bi-monthly workshops was presented by Dr. Padmaja, Scientist, RARS, Warangal. Success stories of farmers adapting innovative technologies was presented by Dr. U. Nagabhushanam, Principal Scientist (Agronomy), DAATTC, Warangal. Different committees were formed involving farmers, department officials and scientists. The outcoming inferences of various committees were presented by the committee heads. All the principal Scientists of Crops and University Heads have clarified all the queries. The closing remarks was given by Dr. M. Balaram, Director of Research, PJTAU. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr. R. Uma Reddy, ADR, CTZ.
